Mirror Mirror

In a world where physical retail spaces are rapidly declining, how can we make the online shopping experience even more efficient and convenient? On the business end, how can we increase interaction between fashion brands and shoppers?

Role: Product Ideation, Business Strategy, Branding, User Flow

Problem: How can we make the online shopping experience better?

Through user interviews, we discovered that the number one pain point for online shoppers is sizing. At least 30% of products ordered online are returned, compared to the 8.89% average return rate of brick-and-mortar stores.

On top of that, brands are struggling to connect with shoppers and deliver quality shopping experiences with the general shift towards online shopping.

The Strategy: What if there was a way to “try on” clothing without physical garments?

People are already enamored with the entertainment value of augmented reality. The mirror would simply be an extension of this ongoing trend.

Solution: Bringing the fitting room experience to your home

We introduce you to Mirror, Mirror - a complete shopping experience from the comfort of your own home. A full body scanner and augmented reality mirror helps users “try” on clothing, test for fit, and simulate fabric movement. It also connects to WiFi so users can try on items from social media accounts, discover new brands and similar items, and checkout.

On the other side of online shopping, brands would pay money to have their products be pushed to our customers via search engine or recommendations.
